How You Can Help
-
Literacy is a gift that all children deserve. There are so many ways you can help give that gift: donate, volunteer, host a book drive, spread the word!
-
Read to Grow relies on the generosity of individuals, families, corporations and foundations to pursue its mission. There are many different ways you can donate to support early literacy. Read to Grow accepts cash gifts, book gifts, tribute gifts, stock gifts and much more. Visit our donate page to learn more about the different ways you can contribute.
-
Read to Grow volunteers provide an invaluable service to our organization, and to families throughout the state. Some of our volunteers work in our Branford office; others work in our hospital-based programs, visiting with families on maternity units to encourage them to read to their babies. This year, more than 100 individuals donated their time and talents to our programs, collectively donating more than 11,000 hours of volunteer service.

Host a Book Drive!
Hosting a book drive or setting up a collection site at your school or place of business serves children, promotes early literacy, and encourages families to read. Our programs depend upon donations of books from our Connecticut communities, and we need your help!
- Book drives can be run by community groups of all sizes and types, and book collections can be arranged in community centers, businesses, gyms—-any place where people congregate and a box for book donations can be set up. Please consider collecting books to support our work.
